CAS is considered a Large Business Enterprise by SBA standards and recognizes the value of small and minority business development in our industry. Since 2008, CAS developed and implemented a trade specific TEAMING program that has been widely accepted by both public and private industry. The TEAMING program is designed to empower the small business through a curriculum customized to their self-performed work and is totally transparent and measurable, exceeding “participation” required by the projects and our customers. In addition, this program benefits all parties concerned as it engages small and minority business in a “maximum, practical way” while adding no “new risk” to the project.
The TEAMING program has been used on over $130,000,000 of CAS work on projects with the United States Army Corp of Engineers, NAVAC, NY/NJ Port Authority, Dormitory Authority of NY and the Greater Philadelphia Urban Affairs Coalition
Program Highlights:
• Empowers the SBE / MBE to successfully participate on major construction projects without the typical financial challenges, all while learning the “best practices” of an established company
• Provides the client with 100% first tier SBE/MBE/WBE credit, fully supported by CAS, ensuring the project is executed properly with respect to both quality and schedule
• Provides the owner with a “quality team” to build the job while ensuring that all SBE/MBE/WBE goals are met in a measurable, sustainable way
The firm also is recognized for its diversity hiring. It is one of the few firms of its type to support both minority and women in the workforce and promote these individuals into project management positions.
CAS is an equal opportunity employer.
