Jacob Javits Convention Center Expansion
CAS' project is part a $1,500,000,000.00 expansion of the current facility that sits on top of the Lincoln Tunnel. The 1,200,000 square foot expansion is the first Design-Assist project allowed by the Empire State Development Corporation in NYC. The facility will also include a four level 660,000 square foot truck garage with 27 loading docks.
Moynihan Train Hall
Led by Empire State Development, the Moynihan Train Hall is a $1.6 billion project that transforms the landmark James A. Farley Post Office Building into a 21st century transportation hub, with a new sky-lit train hall serving LIRR and Amtrak passengers, state-of-the-art wayfinding, information displays, and amenities to improve the visitor experience. The 255,000 square foot Train Hall features a new, spectacular 92-foot high skylight and is larger than Grand Central Terminal’s main concourse.
Hudson Yards
Hudson Yards is the largest private real estate development effort in the history of the Unites States. The massive 28-acre mixed-use site along Manhattan's West Side Highway will offer, upon completion, 27,000,000 square feet of real estate from offices to retail space.
66 Hudson Boulevard
66 Hudson Boulevard is a 65 story office skyscraper located next to Hudson Yards. Tishman Speyer is the developer and Turner Construction is the construction manager. The 1031 foot tall tower (8th tallest in NYC) will encompass 2.85 million square feet of floor space. The Bjarke Ingels Group design has incorporated a spiral outdoor garden that climbs up the building.
Coney Island Hospital
The Coney Island Hospital project with Turner Construction is part of a $922,000,000 rebuild of the existing hospital to replace the damage incurred from the Hurricane Sandy superstorm. The 11 story flood resistant replacement facility will be built above the 500 year old floodplain. The hospital will house 80 acute care beds, 8 operating rooms, and 64 health beds. The owner is NYC Health & Hospitals and funding is provided by FEMA, with oversight by the Economic Development Corporation.
Google NYC
Google's NYC location is 550 Washington along the West Side Highway in Manhattan. This is a gut renovation of an existing freight terminal built in 1938 that will be a modern office complex of 1,300,000 gross square feet. It will have 8 new floors added to the existing structure that will house 8,500 employees in the facility.
Central Park Tower
Central Park Tower is a mixed-use commercial/residential project being developed by The Extell Development Company in Midtown Manhattan, New York City. The building will rise 1550 feet to the roof. Upon completion Central Park Tower will become the second tallest building in the United States. The building will also be the tallest by roof height in the United States surpassing The Willis Tower in Chicago.
30 Hudson Yards
30 Hudson Yards is a 2,600,000 Square Foot Tower designed by Kohn Pedersen Fox. The project will be the second tallest office building in New York City, and will include the highest outdoor observation deck in the City. The 90 story tower will stand 1296 FT and feature river to river views.
701 Seventh Avenue
A 39 story, 350,000 Square Foot mixed-use Hotel with 452 rooms. 76,000 Sq. Ft. of retail space and an 18,000 Sq. Ft. outdoor sign in the heart of Times Square. The Marriott property is scheduled to receive a 5 star rating.
Memorial Sloan Kettering David H. Koch Center for Cancer Care
MSKCC’s new building located on NYC’s Upper East Side on 74th Street will serve as a model for 21st century cancer care. The 1,150,000 Sq. Ft. facility will be completed in 2019. The building will be 23 stories tall at 453 Ft. above street level, and will be the largest cancer care facility in the Tri State region.
N.Y. Presbyterian Hospital - David Koch Center
Located on Manhattan’s Upper East Side, the 750,000 Sq. Ft. facility is designed to provide patients with high quality, personalized care in a technologically sophisticated setting. The 17 story hospital was designed by Pei Cobb Freed and will include 75 private rooms, 26 labor and delivery rooms, and 14 ultrasound rooms.
432 Park Avenue
This Rafael Vinoly residential tower rises 1396 Ft. above Park Avenue, and is the tallest residential tower in the Western Hemisphere. The reinforced concrete structure houses 120 condominium apartments. The Penthouse was recently sold for $95,000,000.00.
World Trade Center Transit Hub
The 800,000 square foot state-of-the-art World Trade Center Transportation HUB is expected to accommodate 250,000 daily commuters and millions of annual visitors from around the world. Designed by the internationally acclaimed architect Santiago Calatrava it will conveniently connect visitors and commuters to 11 different subway lines, the Port Authority Trans-Hudson (PATH) rail system, Battery Park Ferry Terminal, World Trade Center Memorial Site, World Trade Center Towers 1, 2, 3 and 4. It will represent the most integrated network of underground pedestrian connections in New York City.
1 World Trade Center ( Freedom Tower )
1 World Trade Center, also known as The Freedom Tower, is soon to be the main building of the new World Trade Center. Scheduled to be completed in 2013, the 105 story building will include 2.6 million square feet of office space, as well as an observation deck, restaurants, parking, and broadcasting facilities. CAS is currently performing drywall, rough carpentry and acoustical ceiling installations for the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey and Construction Manager Tishman Construction.
Barclays Center
In the Fall of 2012 CAS completed the new home of the Brooklyn Nets - Barclays Arena. Under General Contractor Hunt Construction, CAS installed Main and Upper concourse vending /support areas (gypsum partitions), acoustical ceilings throughout the arena, metal wall panels in the arena bowl and acoustic sound baffles in the rafters. CAS also installed drywall, acoustical and custom metal ceilings at the new MTA station servicing the arena.
National September 11th Memorial & Museum
The Memorial Museum, located at the World Trade Center site, is designed to bear solemn witness to the terrorist attacks of September 11, 2001 and February 26, 1993. The Museum honors the nearly 3,000 victims of these attacks and all those who risked their lives to save others. Designed by Architect Michael Arad, the Memorial features twin reflecting pools and the largest manmade waterfalls in North America. CAS is currently performing framing, drywall and rough carpentry operations, Acoustic spray, and metal ceiling installation for Construction Manager Lend Lease, LMB.
